Home Education At Its Best!

Our homeschool support group, Proverbs Twenty-Six Homschoolers have been on about a dozen field trips since school started in August.
We’ve visited Dinstuhl’s Fine Candies and learned about the history of candy making.
We’ve been to The Fire Museum and learned about the importance of fire safety.
We’ve visited the Agricenter and learned about farming and nature.
Our most recent visit was to the Apple Store.
Apple is just cool on every level!
The lesson that day was on coding.
The students got an inside look at how to create apps.
The students even had the chance to work with the Sphero Bot
At the end of the field trip the student knew how to create their own apps using codes.
This field trip was so amazing we had to set up a second one. We have more students headed to the Apple Store next week.
The wonderful thing about Apple is most of the Apple Stores offers these types of field trips. So even if you’re not in the Memphis area, you can look up your local Apple Store and set up a field trip online. They offer all types of field trips. At my first Apple Store field trip we learned how to create movies using the IMovies app.
These highly informative field trips are a great reminder that learning can come in all capacities.
